Le parole chiave "MUST", "MUST NOT", "REQUIRED", "SHALL", "SHALL NOT", "SHOULD", "SHOULD NOT", "RECOMMENDED", "MAY" e "OPTIONAL" in questo documento devono essere interpretate come descritto nel RFC 2119 [RFC2119].

I termini "UTF-8 string" o "UTF-8 character" sono usati per riferirsi a caratteri Unicode, che possono o non possono essere membri del sottoinsieme ASCII, in UTF-8 [RFC3629], una forma di codifica Unicode standard.
