Abstract

Il Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol per IPv6 (DHCP) consente ai server DHCP di trasmettere parametri di configurazione quali indirizzi di rete IPv6 ai nodi IPv6. Offre la capacità di allocazione automatica di indirizzi di rete riutilizzabili e una flessibilità di configurazione aggiuntiva. Questo protocollo è il corrispondente con stato (stateful) della "IPv6 Stateless Address Autoconfiguration" (RFC 2462), e può essere usato separatamente o contemporaneamente a quest'ultima per ottenere parametri di configurazione.
