这些注册项主要涉及 LDAP matching rules (匹配规则). 实现者应按 OID 和 descriptor 精确识别规则, 避免因大小写,复数形式或拼写差异导致互操作性问题.

IANA 更新还纠正了旧 descriptor 中的拼写问题, 因此本节对注册表维护者和 LDAP 实现者都很重要. 客户端,服务器和 schema 工具在展示或解析 matching rule 名称时, 应同时注意短名称和对象标识符之间的对应关系.
