5.1.6. ATOMIC_AGGREGATE

ATOMIC_AGGREGATE 是 well-known discretionary attribute.

当 BGP speaker 为向某个特定 peer 通告而聚合多条 route 时, aggregated route 的 AS_PATH 通常包含一个 AS_SET, 该 AS_SET 由形成该 aggregate 的 AS 集合构成. 在许多情况下, network administrator 可以确定是否可以安全地在不带 AS_SET 且不形成 routing loop 的情况下通告该 aggregate.

如果由于省略 AS_SET, 某个 aggregate 至少排除了 aggregated route 的 AS_PATH 中存在的一些 AS number, 则在向 peer 通告时, aggregated route SHOULD 包含 ATOMIC_AGGREGATE attribute.

收到带 ATOMIC_AGGREGATE attribute 的 route 的 BGP speaker 在向其他 speaker 传播该 route 时 SHOULD NOT 移除该 attribute.

收到带 ATOMIC_AGGREGATE attribute 的 route 的 BGP speaker 在向其他 BGP speaker 通告该 route 时, MUST NOT 将该 route 的 NLRI 变得更具体 (如 9.1.4 中定义).

收到带 ATOMIC_AGGREGATE attribute 的 route 的 BGP speaker 必须意识到: 到该 route 的 NLRI 所指定 destination 的实际 path 虽然具有 loop-free 属性, 但可能并不是该 route 的 AS_PATH attribute 中指定的 path.
