23.3 IPsec Security Association Attribute

本文档定义一个新的 IPsec Security Association attribute, 用于协商 IPsec tunnels 中的 ECN 支持, 如 Section 9.2.1.2 所述.

Attribute Name: ECN_TUNNEL
Attribute Type: [To be assigned by IANA]
Attribute Format: Basic (fixed-length)
Attribute Values:
- 0: outer header 中不允许 ECN (limited-functionality option)
- 1: outer header 中允许 ECN (full-functionality option)

该 attribute 在 IPsec SA negotiation (例如 IKE Phase 2 Quick Mode) 期间使用, 允许 tunnel endpoints 协商是否允许在 tunnel mode SAs 的 outer header 中使用 ECN 功能.

该 attribute 是 OPTIONAL. 如果 SA negotiation 中不存在该 attribute, 默认行为是 outer header 中不允许 ECN (limited-functionality option).

IANA 已从 [RFC2407] 定义的 IPsec Security Association Attributes registry 中为该 SA attribute 分配 attribute type value.

本规范通过添加这个新的 SA attribute, 并按 Section 9.2.1.1 所述修改 SA Database 以包含 ECN_TUNNEL field, 更新 RFC 2401 [RFC2401] 和 RFC 2407 [RFC2407].

添加该 attribute 为安全协商 IPsec tunnels 中 ECN 的使用提供机制, 允许安全管理员根据其安全策略对 ECN 部署作出知情决策.
