Abstract​

This document defines policy for including Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) in definitive RFC versions and relevant publication formats. It replaces RFC 7996 and removes requirements tied to a specific SVG profile or implementation code.

The goal is to allow useful diagrams while preserving portability, accessibility, and long-term archival stability. The RFC Production Center is responsible for SVG tooling and implementation decisions.
