Abstract
Questo documento specifica la versione 1.2 del protocollo Datagram Transport Layer Security (DTLS). DTLS fornisce riservatezza delle comunicazioni per protocolli a datagramma. Consente ad applicazioni client/server di comunicare in modo progettato per impedire intercettazione, manomissione o falsificazione dei messaggi. DTLS si basa su Transport Layer Security (TLS) e offre garanzie di sicurezza equivalenti. La semantica a datagramma del trasporto sottostante è preservata. Il documento aggiorna DTLS 1.0 per operare con TLS versione 1.2.
