7. Web-Based Peer Authentication

WebRTC supports a specific instantiation of the identity architecture using standard Web protocols (OAuth, OpenID Connect). In this model, the IdP is a Web service. The browser loads the IdP's code in a sandboxed iframe or worker to facilitate the generation and verification of assertions without exposing the user's credentials to the Calling Service.
