5. SDP Identity Attribute

5. SDP Identity Attribute

The identity assertion is typically transported in the Session Description Protocol (SDP) [RFC4566] using the a=identity attribute.

Syntax:

a=identity:<assertion-value>

The <assertion-value> is a based64-encoded string containing the identity assertion generated by the IdP. This attribute allows the identity information to be carried through the signaling path along with the session setup information.
