9. ICE Restarts
An ICE agent can restart ICE processing during a session. This is called an ICE restart.
An ICE restart causes all previously gathered candidates to be discarded and starts a new candidate gathering process. New username fragments and passwords must also be generated.
Reasons for ICE restart may include:
- Network topology changes
- Candidate pair failures
- Adding or removing data streams
