12. Data Handling

This section describes how ICE agents handle data packets.

12.1. Sending Data

Once the selected pair is determined, the agent SHOULD send data using the local candidate of that pair, with the destination address being the remote candidate of that pair.

12.2. Receiving Data

The agent MUST be prepared to receive data from any candidate. The agent SHOULD be vigilant about packets not coming from the selected pair.
