As discussed elsewhere in this document, the discussion list specified in RFC 3406 has been discontinued and replaced.
Old Discussion List (Discontinued)
This list is no longer used for NID registration discussions.
New Discussion List (Current)
All discussions regarding new NID registrations and updates to existing NIDs should take place on this list.
Purpose of the Discussion List
The mailing list is used for:
- Public Review: Community review of NID registration applications
- Technical Discussion: Technical issues regarding namespace definitions
- Policy Discussion: URN namespace policies and best practices
- Update Notifications: Major updates to existing namespaces
How to Participate
- Subscribe: Subscribe through the IETF mailing list management system
- Archives: All discussions are publicly archived for reference
- Etiquette: Follow standard IETF mailing list etiquette guidelines
