5.4. SA TEK Payload

The SA TEK (SAT) payload contains security attributes for data security protocols (e.g., IPsec ESP) used to protect group data traffic.

Key Components​

  • Protocol-ID: Identifies the data security protocol (e.g., PROTO_IPSEC_ESP)
  • SPI: Security Parameter Index for the TEK
  • TEK Attributes: Algorithm, key length, lifetime specifications

Supported Protocols​

5.4.1. PROTO_IPSEC_ESP​

IPsec Encapsulating Security Payload protocol for securing multicast data traffic.

5.4.2. Other Security Protocols​

GDOI can be extended to support additional data security protocols beyond IPsec ESP.
