Abstract

本ドキュメントは, データグラム伝送層セキュリティ (Datagram Transport Layer Security, DTLS) プロトコルのバージョン 1.2 を規定する. DTLS はデータグラム指向プロトコルに対する通信の秘匿性を提供する. クライアント/サーバアプリケーションが盗聴, 改ざん, メッセージ偽造を防ぐように設計された方法で通信できる. DTLS はトランスポート層セキュリティ (Transport Layer Security, TLS) に基づき, 同等のセキュリティ保証を提供する. 下位トランスポートのデータグラム意味論は DTLS によって保持される. 本ドキュメントは DTLS 1.0 を TLS 1.2 と連携するよう更新する.
