2. Terminologia
This document uses the BGP RIB terms from [RFC4271], [RFC7854], and [RFC8671]. Adj-RIB-In contains unprocessed routing information advertised to the local BGP speaker by peers. Pre-policy Adj-RIB-In is the result before inbound policy is applied, and Post-policy Adj-RIB-In is after inbound policy but before route selection forms the Loc-RIB.
Adj-RIB-Out contains routes for advertisement to specific peers. Pre-policy Adj-RIB-Out is before outbound policy, and Post-policy Adj-RIB-Out is after outbound policy and conveys what is actually transmitted. Loc-RIB contains routes selected by the local BGP speaker's Decision Process and, as monitored through BMP, can also include routes imported from an IGP or static routes.
The terms producer and collector are equivalent to monitored router and monitoring station.
