5.41. NAS-Port-Type
Description
Questo attributo indica il tipo di porta fisica del NAS che sta autenticando l'utente. Può essere utilizzato al posto dell'attributo NAS-Port (5) o in aggiunta ad esso. È utilizzato solo nei pacchetti Access-Request. Sia NAS-Port (5) che NAS-Port-Type o entrambi DOVREBBERO essere presenti in un pacchetto Access-Request, se il NAS differenzia tra le sue porte.

Il campo Value è di quattro ottetti. "Virtual" si riferisce a una connessione al NAS tramite un protocollo di trasporto, invece che attraverso una porta fisica. Ad esempio, se un utente si collega tramite telnet a un NAS per autenticarsi come Outbound-User, l'Access-Request potrebbe includere NAS-Port-Type = Virtual come suggerimento al server RADIUS che l'utente non è su una porta fisica.
