Key Terminology
- CA (Certificate Authority): An entity that issues certificates.
- RA (Registration Authority): An optional PKI component to which a CA may delegate certain management functions.
- KGA (Key Generation Authority): An optional PKI component that can generate key pairs on behalf of end entities.
- EE (End Entity): The entity that requests and uses certificates.
